There is no waste in nature. As anchors of the Santa Barbara community, we are involved with transitioning waste into the next resource.
Our mission is to inspire “composting with confidence” through community education and support. We help empower our fellow humans to utilize their waste, instead of shipping it “away”.
We work toward this mission by offering both residential and organizational advising.

We all have unique home environments and lives. This program considers your site-specific needs when recommending the ideal method and model of composting for you. This means continued success through simplicity and support.
Home Garden and Food Forest Advising
Using compost as a foundation, we create living soil systems that nourish plant life and regenerate the land. Advisors are here to provide support to residents looking to create an abundance of food and beauty where they live.
Compost Host Training
Accessibility is key to building sustainable communities. Decentralized compost “hubs” allow neighbors to divert and convert food scraps regardless of access or ability. If you have the desire to strengthen your community by accepting scraps we are here to support you.
